Halloween Parade & Parties
The Aldrich Allstars will have their Halloween parade and parties on Friday, October 31, 2014.  The parade starts at 2:30.  Students will parade through the main hallways, picking up classes as they go.  If weather permits, students will go outside and around the front of the building.  The parties will begin after the parade at 2:45 and end at 3:30Realizing that there will already be treats provided by the PTO for students, we ask that if you still want to bring in something extra for the class, it must be store purchased, individually wrapped with the ingredients listed on the packaging.  Parents, if you are planning on attending either event, please make sure that you stop by the office, sign in, and pick up a name tag.

Some guidelines to discuss with children:

• We encourage children to bring costumes to school in a disposable bag, clearly marked with the child’s name. Costumes should not be worn to school. Students will put on costumes just prior to the parade.

•Children should not wear make-up to school. Students can put on make-up prior to the parade. Please have your children wear appropriate make-up that is not too scary. Any hair products do need to be applied at home.

•To prevent frightening younger children, please refrain from costumes, masks, or make-up depicting blood and other gruesome configurations.

•Weapons such as guns, (even toys) swords, and hatchets will NOT be allowed.

•Costume suggestions: characters from children’s literature, athletes, community figures (firefighters, nurses, bakers, etc.)

•Parents are also encouraged to discuss the guidelines with their children.

Parents helping with the parties and parents/relatives coming up to watch the parade should sign in and wear a name tag.

Thank you for all your time and efforts in making Halloween a safe and enjoyable experience
